  • In 2009, 11 Tampines Concourse became the first CarbonNeutral® building in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region with carbon emissions from the construction process and ongoing use reduced to ‘net zero’ through the purchase of carbon credits, which funds carbon offsetting projects in Asia.
  • City Square Mall, which opened in 2009, is Singapore’s first eco-mall, and the first with an integrated urban park. Programmes at the mall and the park are aimed at helping to raise eco-awareness amongst the shoppers and the public. Green features at the 700,000 square feet mall are estimated to result in savings in electricity of over 14.9 million kWh annually, which can power 3,200 Housing and Development Board flats for a year, as well as a 19,000 cubic metres reduction in water used, equivalent to 9.6 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
  • Group subsidiary, CDL has been listed on the FTSE4Good Index Series since 2002, the Corporate Knights’ Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World since 2010, and the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices since 2011. • Millennium & Copthorne has also been recognised for its environmental credential, notably by the ASEAN Green Hotel Award for the efforts of the Singapore hotels in conserving resources and the Qualmark Enviro Award to the New Zealand hotels for high environmental performances.
  • CDL’s Tree House is an eco-inspired residential development featuring a majestic 24-storey, 2,289 square metres Green Wall that clinched the Guinness World Record for the World’s largest Vertical Garden. It helps reduce the estate’s carbon footprint by filtering pollutants and carbon dioxide out of the air. It also lessens heat absorption, thereby lowering the energy required to cool indoor spaces.
